Custom Orders & Commissions

In many cases, yes! Size availability will depend on the dimensions of the original painting and the paper that I have available in my art studio. Please contact me directly if you are interested in a print size that isn’t listed on the product page, and I will do my absolute best to accommodate your needs!

Yes! However, I can only accept a limited number of commissions each year in order to be able to provide enough time, energy and care to each customer. If you know you would like to commission a custom painting, please send me a message here and we can discuss the details together!

I am always open to suggestions, so if there's a painting idea or subject that you really love, but you can't commission it, you're welcome to send me a message with your ideas, suggestions, and requests. I can't guarantee that your request will be used in a painting, but if I do, I will certainly let you know.

The Creation Process

No! I print all of my own giclee fine art prints, greeting cards, and other products on a handmade basis myself in my art studio. This allows me to ensure that all of my prints and cards meet the highest quality standards (I’m a huge perfectionist). When an order comes in, the print or card is created by hand on my large-format fine art printer using archival fine art inks formulated specifically for giclee printing. I also use only the finest art paper for each print – paper that is acid-free, optical brightener-free, and guaranteed archival, museum exhibition quality. After I sign, date and stamp the back of your print, I then carefully package the art with love (in an acid-free plastic sleeve to protect it from dust, moisture and fingerprints). Tucked safely inside a rigid flat mailer for added protection, my husband and I will hand-deliver it to the post office and it will be on its way to its new home with you before you know it!

Shipping & Handling

Art prints, original paintings, handmade greeting cards, sticker sheets and other products that I ship from my art studio will NEVER be rolled. All art prints and cards are packaged in clear plastic sleeves to keep them pristine and dry. They will then be mailed out in a rigid flat mailer to keep them safe and flat. I do not use tubes to mail out my prints, so you will never have to worry about your artwork being curled upon arrival! I use Canada Post to ship orders. If you have a preference for an alternate carrier, please send me a message before your order is placed and I will do my best to accommodate your needs. Large prints and all original artwork will be insured against loss or damage.

All fine art prints and original paintings purchased from me are shipped unmatted and without a frame, in order to avoid unreasonable shipping fees or damage to the frame during transit. If you would prefer to order your artwork matted, please send me a message and I will have it matted for you. Please note, however, that matted prints will incur additional shipping charges. If you would like advice on how to properly mat or frame your new artwork once you’ve received it, I am more than happy to provide help – just send me a message!

Processing times for orders vary. I do my best to complete orders within 3 business days or less and have them dropped off at the post office as soon as possible. Please keep in mind that busy times of year, including Christmas and other holidays, may increase processing times, so I do suggest allowing ample time to receive your order during busy periods to avoid disappointment. If you are on a time crunch and need to receive your art print or cards by a certain date, please contact me so I can put a rush on your order.

In most cases, yes, you can! If you are located on Southern Vancouver Island (Victoria, Saanich, Westshore, Sooke or surrounding areas) and you would like to pick up your art order directly instead of having it mailed to you, please select the "local pick-up" shipping option during checkout. I will send you an email with further pick-up instructions as your order is fulfilled, or you can email me or add a note to your order to make arrangements.

If you are at all unhappy with your purchase, please contact me within 7 days of receiving the item and we can chat! I am always willing to make things right!

If you wish to return your purchase for whatever reason, you may do so, except for custom commissions, digital downloads, or discount sale merchandise (unless damaged or defective). Items must be shipped back within 30 days of the customer originally receiving the item. Return shipping (except in the case where an item is received damaged) is the responsibility of the buyer, and items must arrive back in the same condition in which they were received, including all packaging. If an item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Exchanges are welcome as well on all items that are reproduceable (not one of a kind); in a situation where the same product is not available, you may choose a different item of similar value if you would prefer (if this does not suit you, a refund will be provided instead). Exchanges do not apply to custom orders or commissions.

Packages that are unable to be successfully delivered by the postal carrier due to circumstances outside the customer’s control will be re-shipped at no additional expense to the buyer.

Packages that are undeliverable due to incorrect address information, unpaid customs fees or that were rejected by the customer upon delivery will not be refunded, or in some cases will be refunded to the buyer upon receiving the item back to my art studio, less the cost of shipping or carrier return fees. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure they provide a correct delivery address, collect packages from their local postal carrier as required, or follow up with “missed delivery” notices. In such cases, if you decide to reorder the item in the future, you will still be required to pay for the shipping.

I pack your order extremely carefully in order to prevent any kind of damage during transit, and larger orders are fully insured for your peace of mind. However, in a scenario where an item is received damaged, I ask that photos documenting the damage be provided to me within 7 days of receiving the item. A replacement item will be shipped to you free of charge or a refund will be provided.

Please note that all items ship from my art studio located in Canada. If you reside in another country, import taxes may apply. 

Buyers are responsible for any customs, duties or import taxes that may apply. I’m not responsible for delays due to customs; please note that during busy holiday seasons such as Christmas, customs offices may be processing packages slower than usual, so delays may occur. I advise customers to place time-sensitive orders ahead of time during busy holiday seasons.
